New Risk Rules

With this update, we have included two new risk rules to the iPOS S.A.F.E module: International card – Refund on CloudPOS and International card – Refund on POS. These rules allow the ISO to determine if a TPN can accept international cards for manual refunds, whether processed on CloudPOS or POS terminals.

How to Enable:

  1. Login to the iPOSpays portal using a primary or add-on ISO admin account.
  2. Click on “Risk Rules” under iPOS S.A.F.E.
  3. Scroll down to find the two new risk rules.
  4. Choose “Yes” to allow, or “No” to restrict.

Note:

  • When either of these two rules is triggered, the R11 risk code will be displayed as the transaction response on the merchant’s CloudPOS, payment terminal, and receipt.

  • “International card – Refund on CloudPOS” is set to “No” by default. This is due to the increased risk of cyberattacks associated with online transactions. However, ISOs have the option to set it to “Yes” to allow manual refunds on International cards.
