How to Change Your Payment Terminal to UAT Mode

How to Change Your Payment Terminal to UAT Mode

DvPayLite is a payment application used on DejavooAndroid terminals to process secure card transactions. To perform testing or use UAT mode for integration, the terminal needs to be switched from Production to UAT (User Acceptance Testing) mode. This document explains how to verify the current environment (Production) and change the terminal to UAT mode using DVStore.

Feature Compatibility

  • Supported Devices:

Android P Line Terminals (P1, P3, P5, P8, P12, P17, P18) and Android QD Line Terminals (QD1, QD2, QD3, QD4, QD5) with DvPayLite and DVStore installed.

If DVStore is not available for your device, reach out to your Relationship Manager to install it.

Prerequisites

Before changing the environment, ensure the following requirements are met:

  • Access to the terminal’s Android Settings

  • Device password (required to access Apps and DVStore Settings)

  • Stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data)

  • Knowledge of the desired environment (e.g., UAT)

Steps to Check and Change DvPayLite to UAT Mode

Step 1: Check the Current DvPayLite Environment

  1. Tap the DvPayLite app on the terminal screen.

  2. Tap the Settings (Gear Icon).

  3. Select About App.

  4. Verify the following fields:

  • Build Environment

  • STEAM Host

  • PORTAL Host

The displayed values confirm which environment the device is currently running in.

Step 2: Uninstall DvPayLite (Required Before Changing Mode)

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen on your terminal.

  2. Tap the Settings (Gear Icon).

  3. Under the Device section, select Apps.

  1. If prompted, enter the device password.

  2. From the installed apps list, select DvPayLite.

  1. Tap Uninstall/DISABLE

  2. Confirm the action by clicking DISABLE APP.

  1. The DvPayLite application has now removed from the device.

Step 3: Configure the Environment in DVStore

  1. Open the DVStore application on the terminal.

  2. Tap the Menu (☰) icon in the top-left corner.

  1. Select Settings.

  2. If prompted, enter the password.

  3. Tap Host Setup.

  1. Under Host Setup:
  1. Tap Done to save the configuration.

Step 4: Update DVStore

  1. After changing the environment in Host Setup, navigate to: DVStore → Settings → Update DVStore

  2. Tap Update DVStore to apply the changes.

  3. Wait for the update process to complete.

If the environment is changed to UAT, the terminal may display the message: “You’re not supposed to downgrade.”

This message appears when the currently installed version of DvPayLite is a Production build, and the environment has been switched to UAT.

In such cases:

  1. Ensure DvPayLite is fully DISABLED/Uninstalled before updating DVStore.

  2. Click OK when prompted.

  3. Select Download Anchor App to install the correct environment version.

If the environment is set to Production, the application downloads directly without requiring the Anchor App installation.

Step 5: Download Anchor App

  1. Open DVStore → Settings

  2. Tap Download Anchor App.

  3. Wait for the installation to complete.

  4. Once the installation is complete, DvPayLite opens automatically.

Setup Complete

The payment terminal is now configured to operate in the selected environment (e.g., UAT). You may now proceed with application testing or further configuration as required.

If your application is not listed on DVStore (opens in a new tab), you need to sign an NDA with us. Kindly reach out to your Relationship Manager for more details.
